Effective: [PLACEHOLDER — set before deploy]

DNBlackBook is operated by Trilot LLC, a limited liability company registered in Delaware, United States, with operations conducted from Amman, Jordan. This page explains what information we collect when you visit dnblackbook.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect the first name and email address you submit through the form. Nothing else.

When you complete the founders lock-in payment of $50, our payment processor (Stripe) collects the information needed to process your payment — billing name, email, country, and card details. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe transmits to us only a payment confirmation, your email, and the country your card was issued in.

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard server access logs — your IP address, browser user-agent, the time of your visit, and the page you requested. These logs are retained for a short period and used to detect abuse and debug the site. We do not query them for marketing purposes.

We do not run any advertising tracking on this site. There is no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads tag, no LinkedIn Insight tag.

Why we collect it

The first name and email are used solely to notify you when DNBlackBook launches and, if you are a founders lock-in customer, to deliver the course you paid for and any communications directly tied to that purchase. We do not use waitlist email addresses for promotional newsletters, sponsored content, or third-party offers.

The Stripe payment data is used to process and, where applicable, refund your $50 deposit. The Cloudflare logs are used for security and operational debugging.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to run the site:

  • MailerLite — stores the waitlist mailing list and delivers the launch announcement email. MailerLite operates under EU and US privacy law and is contractually bound to process the data only on our instructions.
  • Stripe — processes the founders lock-in payment. Stripe is its own data controller for payment information and operates under its own published privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare — hosts the website and routes traffic. Cloudflare records the access logs described above.

We do not sell your data. We do not rent it. We do not give it to brokers, list aggregators, or affiliates. If we are ever required to disclose information by a valid legal order, we will comply only to the extent legally required and, where lawful, will notify you.

How long we keep it

Waitlist data (first name, email) is kept until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, which removes you from the list immediately. You can also email us to request immediate deletion at any time.

Founders lock-in payment records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting regulations in Delaware and Jordan — typically seven years. After that period, records are deleted or anonymised.

Cloudflare logs are retained per Cloudflare's standard policy, generally not exceeding 30 days.

Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

  • Ask us what information we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Ask us to correct any information that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete your information (subject only to legal record-keeping obligations on the payment side)
  • Ask us to stop using your information for any purpose other than what you originally consented to
  • Withdraw your consent to receive emails from us at any time

If you are a resident of the European Union or the United Kingdom, you additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a resident of California, you have the rights set out in the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information has been collected, the right to deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@dnblackbook.com. We respond within 14 days.

International transfers

Because we operate from Jordan and use US-based service providers (Stripe, Cloudflare, MailerLite), your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence. By using the site, you understand that this is the case. We use providers that maintain appropriate cross-border data protection commitments.

Children

This site is not intended for and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we will delete it.

Cookies

Cookie usage is described in our Cookie Policy.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where the change affects existing waitlist subscribers, we will email you. Trivial wording fixes will not trigger a notification.
